Thermostats

The world of thermostats has evolved immensely over the last decade. Although you can still purchase the old spin thermostat to match your grandma’s thermostat, you also have thermostat options that can accomplish almost anything but make your coffee. Whether you like simple or all the bells and whistles, we can install any make or model to fit your needs.

Smart thermostats

Smart thermostats are Wi-Fi enabled thermostats that allow you to control your home's hvac system from your smartphone, tablet, or computer. These thermostats can also learn your temperature preferences and habits and adjust the temperature automatically to save energy. Most customers that make the switch to a Smart thermostat see savings in their energy bill anywhere from 10-15%.  Over the course of the year you can save hundreds of dollars on your energy bill.

Another perk to Smart thermostats is the convenience factor. You can adjust the temperature of your home from anywhere. If you are coming home from work or vacation you can turn your HVAC system on from a remote device. Many Smart thermostats also have a sensor feature that knows if you are in the house and can adjust the temperature accordingly. There are also some thermostats that adjust the temperature based on the outdoor weather conditions.

Both our local power and gas companies offer rebates for installation of smart thermostats for qualifying customers.  These rebates make the thermostat cost comparable in price to a more basic programmable thermostat.

Digital Thermostats-

If you want a simpler thermostat that meets your basic needs, digital thermostats are a great fit for you. There are two basic options for digital thermostats.

Programmable Thermostat:

If you like the temperature of your house to vary at different times of the day, a programmable thermostat can meet your needs. You can program your home’s temperature or fan usage to the desired settings for various times of the day or night instead of having to manually change the temperature every time. The thermostat does the work for you.

Manual Thermostat:

Simple and easy! There are no bells and whistles on a manual thermostat. It’s as easy as walking to the thermostat and adjusting the thermostat up or down. The thermostat will stay at the temperature you set until you walk over to the thermostat and adjust it again manually. Adjusting the fan is as easy as changing the temperature.
